Clinical Acupressure 1: Basic Applications, Thursday thru Sunday, September 28 – October 1, 9 am – 5 pm, Manchester, NJInstructor: Regina Rosenthal, PT, MA

This workshop teaches how to use acupressure to balance and energize the whole body and specific parts. Through demonstration and practice you will learn how to apply acupressure formulas for all parts of the body (head, neck, back, face, chest, abdomen, pelvis, legs and feet, arms and hands) and many symptoms such as blood pressure, constipation, digestive problems, headaches, etc. You will learn to locate and access more than 35 potent acupressure points, and receive a clinical handbook and study guide with more than 70 acupressure formulas for specific body parts and conditions. This course is appropriate for clinical application for health-care professionals. This 4-day program includes 24 hours of live instruction and daily hands-on practice of the material. No pre-requisites for this class. Continuing education: 24 contact hours through AHNA and 24 hours continuing education through National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. This 4-day program progresses process and acupressure skills learned in Process Acupressure 1A: Foundations. Practice using Soul Lightening Acupressure to safely follow and encourage a person’s natural growth process to promote enhanced health and deeper understanding of symptoms and life events. Deepen your confidence to recognize and follow the signals that arise during a session. Refine your skills as you go deeper into your own growth process. This course emphasizes soul work and includes life review and soul purpose. Advances basic PA protocol and Chakra Tai Chi movement practice. Pre-requisite: PA1A: Foundations. Soul Lightening Acupressure: Ancestral Healing, Thursday thru Sunday, November 2-5, 9 am – 5 pm, Manchester, NJ Instructor: Leah Matalon

The Soul Lightening Acupressure Basic Protocol and processing skills will be used to heal ancestral patterns that obstruct present life skills. This course focuses on healing ancestral patterns that have come down through the ages (instead of individual instances), and reclaiming ancestral strengths that have not yet been owned. 3854-F23A: Introduction to Acupressure: SEVA Acupressure for Stress Release, Monday, September 11, 6-9 pm, Fee: $37

Learn about the principles and benefits of Soul Lightening Acupressure and how to use a simple acupressure formula for self-care to reduce stress, promote relaxation, and enhance health and well-being. The SEVA Stress Release acupressure protocol was initially used with workers at Ground Zero in New York City after the events of 9/11. SEVA in Sanskrit means compassionate service. This program for self-care can be done seated or lying down, and can be completed in 20 minutes.

Learn how to use two simple acupressure formulas for self care to manage and reduce headaches and sinus congestion, neck and shoulder tension, and stress related tension in the body.

Soul Lightening Acupressure and Qigong, traditional Chinese medicine practices, combine acupressure, breathing, meditation, movement, and self-massage for health and wellbeing. Learn how to combine the Soul Lightening Acupressure Chest Release with Qigong movement practices to support and strengthen pulmonary health.

This FREE, six-week self-management program and workbook, designed by Stanford University, will help you to: manage chronic disease symptoms including fatigue and depression; use relaxation techniques; increase awareness for balanced nutrition; improve communication skills; use medication effectively; increase self-confidence; solve problems and set weekly action plans. Participants need to attend all sessions. Park Fee: $5.00.

This introductory workshop is ideal for massage therapists who are interested in learning gentle and powerful acupressure techniques and formulas for balancing and harmonizing the whole being. Day 1 acupressure formulas focus on self-care. Day 2 acupressure formulas focus on using acupressure formulas with others. During this workshop participants will learn about the healing and transforming power of Soul Lightening Acupressure, have many opportunities to learn and practice techniques, exchange acupressure bodywork sessions, and take home skills they can use immediately for self-care and with others.  Registration for both sessions required.
