Acupressure Workshops 2019

Summer has arrived and here on the east coast we are experiencing welcome sun and expanded daylight as our gardens bloom and bring sights and scents that delight our whole being. Spring brought excitement for me as Acupressure for Anyone workshops continued to bring acupressure for self-care and with others to the Ocean County, NJ community. The Seva Acupressure for Self-care (Part 1) and Using Seva With Others (Part 2)  provided opportunities for participants to practice giving and receiving this simple program for promoting relaxation and balance and reducing stress and anxiety, and a solid foundation for learning and experiencing four additional workshops offered in the Acupressure for Anyone series.

Spring also brought forth an amazing article, “Beyond Pills: Acupressure Impact on Self-Rated Pain and Anxiety Scores,” Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, Volume 25, Number 5, 2019, May 9, 2019, p. 1-5, Elizabeth Monson, MA, M, CRNP et al. This research revealed  ”Acupressure is an effective tool to address escalating health care demands. This retrospective analysis has provided evidence that the Seva acupressure program is a nonpharmacologic tool that can effectively reduce pain and anxiety without adverse events…..and resulted in a high degree of participant satisfaction.” (

I look forward to meeting you at one of the upcoming workshops below.
