Acupressure for Anyone Series for Self-Care:

(1) 3854-F22A: Introduction to Acupressure for Self-Care:  Seva Acupressure for Stress Release:  Monday, October 3, 6:30 – 8:30 pm, Fee: $35

Learn about the principles and benefits of Soul Lightening Acupressure and how to use a simple acupressure formula for self-care to reduce stress, promote relaxation and enhance health and well-being. Seva in Sanskrit means compassionate service. The Seva program, performed seated or lying down, can be completed on yourself in 20 minutes.

 (2) 3905-F22A: Acupressure and Qigong for Pulmonary Health:  Monday, October 31, 6:30-8:30 pm, Fee: $35

 Acupressure and Qigong, both traditional Chinese medicine practices, combine acupressure, movement, breath, meditation, and self-massage to enhance health and well-being. Learn how to combine the Soul Lightening Acupressure Chest Release for Self-Care with Qigong movement practices, to support and enhance pulmonary health in preparation for the winter season.

Learn self-care tools and two Soul Lightening Acupressure programs to help you manage holiday stress – Deep Relaxation and Emotional Stress Release Acupressure programs. Give yourself the gift of self-care to help you enjoy the holiday season!

Learn to use an Awareness Journal and practice SEVA Acupressure for Self-Care on yourself through demonstration and hands-on practice. This simple program can reduce stress, anxiety, and pain, and enhance health and well-being. Healing asks us to deepen our self-awareness and presence during physical, mental, and emotional challenges faced. Learn seven universal themes encountered during healing and simple self-care practices (breath, acupressure, movement, self-massage, joy) that strengthen your ability to respond and boost your resilience. *Bring exact cash or check payable to instructor, Regina Rosenthal for $15.00

(3) 301544-3F, PARK FEE $5.00 – Diabetes Self-Management Program:  Mondays, 10 am-12 noon, October 17, 24, 31 & November 7, 14, 21, Cattus Island County Park, Toms River

This FREE six-week self-management program and workbook, designed by Stanford University, will help you to: learn how to manage symptoms including fatigue and depression; use relaxation techniques; eat healthy and monitor blood sugars; improve communication skills; use medication effectively; increase your self-confidence; solve problems and set action plans. Self-care practices have been used to strengthen and enhance lung functioning for individuals living with pulmonary health problems, anxiety, and stress. During this workshop you will learn and experience simple breathing, acupressure, Qigong movement meditation, and self-massage practices to boost well-being and your ability to respond and bounce back. *Bring exact cash or check payable to instructor, Regina Rosenthal for $15.00
